Greta Turken

Acting Coach

Greta draws on her experience from a long checkered career in theater and film as an actor, writer and director, to give specific and detailed feedback. She has a black belt in kung fu and an oft-resumed yoga practice. These physical practices inform her approach, which is deeply psychological … expressed through the tuned-in body. If you're looking for a clear, discerning, supportive coach for an audition or role, Greta is a great choice!

She is a seeker, constantly educating herself in movement and voice modalities to support her teaching and performance work. Miranda Bentley

Coach

Based on the foundation that even the most transformative acting is always a revelatory process, Miranda helps students gain greater access to themselves so they can offer the fullness of their humanity in their work. In Miranda’s training she employs exercises which take the actor through the inner journey of themselves to places which are alive or longing to be alive. Students find this both inspirational and centering. Miranda has trained with many renowned teachers but ultimately credits her intimate relationship with fear and her journey overcoming stage fright as her greatest teacher. With a deep reverence for the mystery and intelligence of our humanity, she encourages her students to return to and respect their own impulses and instincts.

Pamela Hollings

Acting and Voice (for Actors) Teacher

In her teens Pamela was introduced to the work of Yat Malmgren through Tim Robins who trained and went on to teach at the Drama Centre, London for many years and to the work of Cicely Berry through Judith Davenport who trained with Cicely. She is therefore a third generation teacher of these methods and has worked closely with the YBC team to co-create the YBC Method. In acknowledging her teachers she also claims the freedom to innovate and evolve to the needs of current circumstances. Pamela begins and comes back to the breath as the fundamental tool for performers. She truly believes that your attentional practice can change your life. Pamela loves teaching the YBC ‘notes’ as well as working with performers on fundamentals of voice and acting practice. She is committed to YBC group classes, as well as her own artistic practice and has limited time in which to offer 1-1 lessons.
