LIVE IN ACTION SAN FRANCISCO FALL: In-Person

Sale Price: $810.00 Original Price: $900.00

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS - IN PERSON ACTING CLASS in SF
10 classes:
Wednesdays: ‍ September ‍23 - December 2 (Thanksgiving week off), 6pm-9pm
Phoenix Theatre:
414 Mason St, San Francisco, CA

Live in Action incorporates how to use the Yat Malmgren method to develop the most dynamic relationships on stage and on screen, from both the inner and outer characteristics inherent in the role. It is not a traditional scene study class, rather a hands-on laboratory where the student gets to experiment and expand their talents and resources through partner work

Particular attention is paid to discovering the sensations of movement below the actor’s personality,  unleashing their less familiar internal energies that need to belong to the character. The intimate relationship between the actor and the character’s inner life is essential. The work continues to revolve around the Inner Attitudes, discovering the road map that Yat brought so successfully to the training of theatre artists.

The class also brings in some of the exercises created for the actor by Uta Hagen, one of Yat’s favorite teachers in America.

Taught by Pamela Hollings and Miranda Bentley

* Pamela Hollings will concentrate on embodiment with an emphasis on voice and scenario work. Miranda Bentley will concentrate on embodiment with an emphasis on swings and monologue/scene work.

The Yat/Bentley Centre understands economic hardship. We offer a limited number of scholarships based on what you can afford, please discuss with us a payment plan. Contact Team@Yatbentley.com
